Audit Senior / Audit & Accounts Senior - SUPERB ROLE

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with an Accountancy Firm who are looking for an Audit & Accounts Senior (PQ or Qualified) for their offices in West Birmingham. Undertaking a 30% Audit & 70% Accounts & Tax role, you will be assisting with managing client portfolios of owner-managed businesses including sole traders, companies and partnership clients up to £50m turnover, and working with a team of other Audit staff across the region. Key duties include:

  • Assisting with Accounts & Financial statement preparation, and basic book-keeping duties
  • Attending on-site client audits and assisting Audit team members with basic controls and risk assessments, using computerised audit systems
  • Documenting evidence for the audit files for review by the Audit Manager or Director
  • Providing general assistance to other audit and business service team members to help ensure audit deadlines are met
  • Taking responsibility for achieving agreed budgets and meeting client deadlines.
  • Auditing companies from sectors including IT/Hi-Tech, Consumer Services, Manufacturing, Logistics, Legal Services
  • Collating information required for the preparation of company accounts, partnerships and LLP's together with details for tax computations.
  • Close liaison with clients and other third-party stakeholders as required
  • Ensuring all work is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with the firm's standards
  • Ensuring all paperwork is filed and submitted correctly to Companies House within statutory deadlines

To be considered for the role you should ideally be degree-educated with ACA/ACCA Part-Qualification or fully Qualified with previous experience in Audit & Accounts at another Accountancy Firm/Practice. On offer is a salary up to £35,000 depending on qualification and experience, with benefits to include company pension, healthcare and 20 days holidays. The firm will happily consider those candidates who may be interested in relocating to Birmingham from other parts of the UK, and you do need to be a car driver for this role.
