Job Description:

Our client, a technology company based in Cambourne, is looking for a Receptionist to join their team. This role manages the front desk on a daily basis and performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. It is a full time, 12 month contract.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Meet and greet visitors at the front desk ensuring that the appropriate person is informed of their arrival
  • Ensure the reception area is kept tidy and presentable
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (visitor's log book and issuing visitor badges)
  • Ensure meeting rooms are kept clean and tidy and are set-up ready for meetings each morning
  • Diary management of the meeting rooms and pool car bookings
  • Organise airport transfers, hotels, catering, meeting room requirements for external visitors
  • Responsible for preparing installation\training packs, training certificates, visa applications and letters
  • Responsible for ordering business cards, flowers, service stickers and company clothing for field-based staff
  • Ensure stationery and tea\coffee\milk supplies are ordered in advance so there is adequate stock
  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as photocopying, scanning, typing, printing, invoices and filing
  • Undertake other administrative duties that may be required from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have proven work experience as a receptionist, will be well presented and self-motivated with a flexible attitude. It is essential that candidates are computer literate, specifically in Word, Excel, Outlook and Skype. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and candidates will need the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. It is essential that candidates have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, and that they are highly organised with the ability to prioritise.
