Sample Dispatch Technician

£21,000 plus bonus and benefits

My client is a successful lab services company that has an exciting new opportunity at a respected pharmaceutical research organisation in their sample dispatch unit.

The Job

As Sample Dispatch Technician you will ideally be IATA and/or ADR certified to ship dangerous goods. You will support the day to day operations of the stores and sample dispatch facilities. You will be responsible for health and safety requirements and regulatory compliance, ensuring an efficient inventory management system.

As part of the role you will receive, pack, prepare and ship R&D samples (biological, chemical, radioactive etc) to any destination globally ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and transport regulations (shipping of hazardous goods by air/road/sea). All these activities are in line with GMP and GLP compliance.

About You

To apply for this role you should demonstrate:

  • Work in a relevant environment
  • Proven excellent customer service focus and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IATA/ADR Certification
  • Knowledge of known Consignor Regulations is a distinct advantage.
  • Able to partner with other teams and suppliers
  • Outstanding communication skills on all levels and problem solving capabilities.
