THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are working with a Doncaster based client who are looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager (Motor & Repairs).

THE JOB:

Reporting to the Director of Operations Product Sales you will actively seek new business for New Motors, Repairs & Machining Departments predominantly through New Customers as well as increasing activity through the existing customer base for new opportunities where currently not served.

Main Tasks of the role:

  • Generate new business from initial lead to order input for the Motors & Repairs business.
  • Maintain close contact with the business market, promoting new business growth, gathering and reporting market data.
  • Formulate Sales and Marketing Strategy for the target region in cooperation with Senior Management.
  • Ensure that quotations are submitted and followed up in a timely and professional manner, maximising quotation conversion.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are correctly interpreted, contract terms and conditions are fully understood and properly negotiated.
  • Conduct sales negotiations within specified limits of authority.
  • Assist, when necessary, in the resolution of queries relating to debts, and with cash collection.
  • Support the business from a technical perspective ensuring customer's requirements are interpreted correctly to ensure that it achieves its' "first time fix" objectives.
  • Respect and maintain company confidentiality.
  • Comply with requirements of Health and Safety practices as outlined in the Company Health and Safety Procedures.
  • Submit all required paperwork within allocated time frame

THE CANDIDATE:

  • Experienced Sales Manager with Mechanical Engineering Qualification HND or above
  • Proven track record in external sales in Mechanical Engineering Sector
  • Minimum two years' experience as a Sales Manager
  • Able to communicate at all levels to maximise the sales potential for the business.
  • Positive outlook with a "can do" approach to work
  • Project management skills; strong planning and organisational skills; ability to work to tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
  • Good control of sales and contract management processes
  • MS Office, including word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
