Job Description:

This position includes the management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The role will contribute to process improvement initiatives with the end goal of improving project delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of technology initiatives in centres covering IT infrastructure, shopping centre systems (e.g. Wi-Fi, Access control, Kiosk, Building Management Systems etc..) and and data analytics.
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for several initiatives simultaneously
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, resources and chair Steering Committee meetings
  • Manage project scope and changes
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities to key stakeholders
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Utilise retail technology expertise to support how solutions will address business goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
  • Demonstrate understanding of inter-dependencies between technology, organisation (People) and processes
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and programme engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
  • Participate in and drive feasibility studies: vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

Profile

Education/ Qualification -

  • Degree calibre
  • Professional qualification in IT
  • Prince 2 Certified (Practitioner)

Experience:

  • Ability to lead demonstrating diplomacy and motivational skills
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Ability to prepare and present documentation to non IT business people
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
  • Experience of influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
  • Research best practices within and outside the organisation to establish benchmark data and use continuous process improvement disciplines to achieve results
  • Track record of successful IT project management (infrastructure/technical and business systems) and delivery
  • Solid background on IT technical skills/systems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills : MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong experience in IT project management (such as Infrastructure/Data Warehousing/Analytics/Digital/Wi-Fi projects)

Desirable:

Experience in the property and/or retail industry
