Casual Stock Counter/Driver

Hours - 0 - 48

Salary - £7.83 p/hr & Bonus (p/h rising in April)


Orridge have several exciting opportunities across the UK. You will be joining existing teams who work with a plethora of clients providing 'first class' service and results.


What is the purpose of the role?

Orridge & Company provide a stocktaking service to retail customer sites throughout the United Kingdom. Our client base includes, high street retailers, pharmacy, DIY and major supermarkets.


The Job:

We are currently looking to recruit casual stock counters to work as an Own Car Driver/Stock Counter for immediate start.

You will be required to collect your team, travel to different locations via organised travel groups. You will be part of the team who will work together to count stock for our clients to provide a stock holding. You will carry out stock audits using hand held terminals to accurately count items. No experience is required as full training is provided.

You will be working at different customer/client sites via organised travel groups around the surrounding regions.

You may be required to undertake national travel with overnight stays across the UK for which accommodation and daily allowances will be paid.


We have various hours and shifts available:


  1. The length of shifts varies, though most last between 6-8 hours each

  2. There will be early starts and late finish times dependent on the shifts offered though majority of job start between midday and 3pm

  3. Opportunity for progression into permanent work for suitable candidates and many opportunities to develop your career with full support through our training programme


What skills are we looking for?


  • Ability to work under pressure

  • You will need to hold a full driving license with no more than 6 points

  • Able to follow a clear procedure

  • Good knowledge of basic maths

  • Good communication skills

  • Flexible

  • Organised

  • Willing to travel
