Class 2 Driver

This is a permanent position delivering and collecting Plant Hire Equipment to sites in and around Lanachashire and sometimes Nationwide.

The Class 2 Driver is a customer facing role,

Responsible for delivering and collecting Plant and Carryway products to clients nationwide. Majority of the journeys will be in the Lancashire area, however on occasion this can be extended to other depots and other parts of the UK.

Your day to day responsibilities will be loading and unloading plant and Carryway vehicles. This will include new machines & vehicles which have been purchased and fleet machines which have been hired.
You will then transport the products to clients nationwide safely and effectively, correctly completing paperwork & associated PDA's and interacting with customers.

The place of work is Leigh, Lancashire, working as part of a team and closely with the depot team for day to day scheduling. During downtime you will assist in preparing the machines for transport.

Key Responsibilities -

* Safely deliver and collect compact plant and attachment

* Safely Load and Unload the compact plant and attachments

* Safely deliver and collect the Golf Buggy and utility Vehicles

* Safely Load and Unload the Golf Buggy and Utility Vehicles

* Correctly complete all paperwork required for delivery and collection

* Check the machines for damage on collection and document

* Build positive relationships with customers

* Assist with preparing the machines for hire, wash down etc.

* Record work carried out and ensure good housekeeping.

* Attend relevant internal and external meetings and provide updates and reports as required

* Undertake any other duties consistent with the role

Skills Required -

* Proven field service experience

* Strong customer service

* The ability to work independently, be self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and willing to carry out other duties when required.

* The ability to work under pressure and use initiative in a hands-on environment.

* Clean driving license

* Awareness of health & Safety requirements.

* Good verbal communication skills
