Job Description:

B.Mundell Ltd are a family owned Haulage company operating 25 HGV's in Scotland specialising in bulk whisky & malted barley transport. We currently operate out of three depots (Glasgow, Tarbert Loch Fyne & Isle of Islay). This position is based at our busy Glasgow depot which handles a lot of the general freight that B.Mundell Ltd trunk to Islay.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Operate the forklift counterbalance truck

• Organise and manage another two on-site forklift drivers

• To ensure all Lorries are off loaded and loaded as required.

• Serve and load customers with required materials in a safe manner

• Manual handling will be involved

• Stock control and order picking • All paper work regarding deliveries to be completed

• Report any deficiencies in the working of any machinery/equipment i.e. fork lift trucks for which you are responsible on a daily basis.

• To manage the site upkeep, including associated plant, loading & unloading areas are kept in good conditions & cleanliness,

• Ensuring the safe receipt, storage & management of all depot goods including periodic checks, rotation of goods, stock & preparation of loads for dispatch as required.

• Ensuring high standards of Customer Service are met in the yard area in accordance with company procedure

• To ensure the safe operation of the depot & the compliance by all staff and visitors to the site Health and Safety procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience working under your own supervision would be preferred

• Forklift counterbalance licence is essential

• Must be prepared to work outdoors

• Ensure that a good standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times,

• All tasks to be completed in the safest manner, adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations

• Experience of vehicle loading procedures.

• Required to hand ball various materials & help palletise loose goods.

• Experience booking in of stock is preferred

Full Time Position, 07:30 - 17:00 Monday to Friday Occasional overtime available
