Your Audit Senior Career

As an ACA/ACCA Audit Senior, you will be managing a team of Audit and Accounts Juniors while servicing UK-based clients and those with an international presence, enabling you to gain wide exposure to a variety of blue-chip companies.

While there, they explained to us how they not only provide Accounting, Tax and Audit Services, but they pride themselves on being industry thought leaders by giving advisory and counsel on pertinent issues that affect businesses such as Making Tax Digital, Brexit-related matters, statements by the Counsellor of the Exchequer and both proposed and implemented amendments to financial and HMRC regulations.

Your Role and Responsibilities as an Audit Senior for our client

Your day-to-day will be split into about 80% Audit and 20% Accounts, and other ad hoc Accounting duties. Reporting to the Audit and Accounts Associate, this is a highly visible role where you will have the opportunity to gain face time with Seniors and Partners from both the Guilford and Central London offices so they can get to know you, your skills and your career aspirations.

o Working at client offices to complete Audit files, ensuring all required information is available and answering client queries by all channels

o Directly supervising a team of Junior staff on and off client premises, training them to company standards and systems and reviewing their work

o Building and strengthening relationships with clients and prospective clients to grow of the company and your portfolio

o Ensuring that all records kept by the organisation are accurate and up-to-date, check for flagged activities and errors

o Providing independent, reliable and objective assurance to the clients on risk management, control and corporate governance issues

o Preparing Management Accounts for a strong portfolio of clients

o Reporting significant existing and emerging risk exposures and control

About you

o You will be ACA/ACCA qualified, whether newly qualified or PQE (Post-Qualified Experience)

o You will ideally have experience with accounting software packages for example CCH, Sage or Xero

o Good working knowledge of UK GAAP standards
