Job Description:

We have a portfolio of over 130 Rental units with a mixture of Hotel Rooms and Serviced Apartments based in W2, London.

The Hotel Receptionist is responsible for providing a friendly, welcoming and efficient service to all hotel guests, in line with the Hotel's vision and values on customer satisfaction. The main purpose of the Hotel reception staff is to respond courteously to guest's requests, manage the smooth running of the of the room booking service, work together in the general running of the reception and back office and help maintain the running of daily activities in the Hotel.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To undertake front of house duties, including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests, to ensure a superb customer service experience
  • To manage reservations by email and Telephone.
  • To build a good rapport with all guests to make sure they are welcome and may return to the hotel in future or recommend our hotel to their friends or family
  • To deal with guest requests to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay
  • To assist in dealing with guest complaints in an effective and courteous manner, providing or seeking solutions as quickly as possible
  • To be responsible for accurate and efficient accounts and guest billing processes
  • To administer to the general petty cash system and float in an accurate manner
  • To assist in keeping the hotel reception area and back office clean and tidy at all times
  • To undertake general office duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and switchboard/telephone, to ensure the smooth running of the reception area
  • To administer all routes of reservations to ensure that room bookings are made and recorded accurately
  • To ensure that all reservations and cancellations are processed efficiently
  • To keep up to date with room prices and special offers to provide accurate information to guests
  • To take responsibility for any administrative tasks given to you by management
  • To cover other reception staff sickness or holidays
  • To fulfil any night shift duties
  • To report any maintenance, breakages or cleanliness problems to the manager unless they are immediately rectifiable by you
  • To liaise with the Housekeeping team
  • To undertake all training as required, including but not limited to, housekeeper and breakfast service training, Fire Marshal training and First Aid at work
  • To adhere to all fire safety test procedures and supervise the evacuation process in the event of fire
  • To undertake any other emergency ad-hoc duties (breakfast service or housekeeping) as and when required
