Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer

Rotating Shift Pattern

Our client is well known within the world of Food and Drink! Producing well-loved, instantly recognizable food and drink brands. We are recruiting an Electrically Biased Shift Maintenance Engineer to join an award-winning manufacturing site at their Lancashire site.

Your Role:

Provide all technical engineering support 24/7 to the site. This includes having a broad knowledge of production and process areas supported by a packaging line. Responsible for all engineering issues and have the skills to resolve in a timely manner. Coordinate engineering activities and production priorities to ensure the relevant production and downtime targets are achieved.

You will be a time served electrical maintenance engineer who offers a quality and efficient maintenance service to the manufacturing site. This role offers a good mixture of PPM, reactive maintenance and project-based work and will suit a proactive multi skilled maintenance engineer with multi-skilling experience and bias.

Responsibilities:

Resolving engineering issues in a team environment

Perform preventative maintenance as dictated by the PPM System.

Provide a proactive approach to engineering whilst working towards delivering the engineering strategy

Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance and bench fitting; repairing and maintaining site equipment to a ensure safety and hygiene standards are adhered to.

Seek out improvement opportunities and deliver improvements to machinery

Carry out root cause analysis and assist with the sites LEAN activities

Essential Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Mechanical knowledge is essential for this role

HNC/NVQ Level 3 Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

You will be multi skilled with strong mechanical background and comfortable carrying out mechanical maintenance.

Machining and bench fitting skills are desirable.

Manufacturing factory experience is ideal including FMCG, Process and Packaging environments
