Job Description:

A market leading wholesale distributor is looking for a dynamic Inventory Administrator to assist the operations team on nights. You'll have the chance to be part of a progressive company with massive expansion plans. In return you'll receive a competitive salary, a Monday to Thursday permanent nights role with bank holidays off, good pension scheme, overtime and career development opportunities.

What is our client like? They are the longest trading wholesaler within their industry, supplying independent retailers right up to blue chip supermarkets. They offer a modern and clean place to work at their state of the art distribution warehouse, with exciting future growth plans.

Main Inventory Administrator duties:

  • Counting the total stock file between 2 and 3 times per annum.
  • Ensuring the inventory counts are completed accurately and in line with the standard required by the auditing body.
  • Investigating any major stock discrepancies and update the stock file.
  • Completing and maintaining the stock count for auditing purposes
  • Addressing any disjointed stock whilst performing the counts
  • Analysing the lost sales report each morning (produced 02.00-03.00am), investigating any major discrepancies and communicating these to the demand planners in time for their morning start
  • Supporting & covering within the stock administration team when required
  • Any other adhoc duties

Experience for the Inventory Administrator:

  • Experience in an inventory or stocks admin role
  • Proven track record of working in a busy warehouse environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven written & verbal communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent IT skills especially Excel
  • Analytical and highly motivated
  • FLT Reach Truck licence beneficial but not essential as training will be provided
