We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team on our Ibstock Kevington Midlands Site in Chesterton, Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

The successful applicant will be Self-motivated with knowledge of Mechanical engineering.

This position requires a person with key skills in trouble shooting and on site repair and maintenance of both automated and manual masonry sawing machines.

The person will have ability to carry out general proactive and reactive mechanical maintenance. Be able to coordinate with external engineers and electrical engineers.

It is also important the person assists with the production management and quality of the product through training and best practice to enable a dual role when coordinating repairs and assisting the Factory manager of this modest size team.

  • Work within rigid timeframes
  • Able to absorb information and learn new skills
  • Capability to work in a pressurised environment
  • Maintain good and consistent timekeeping
  • Team working attitude

  • Ability to keep a computerised maintenance log.
  • Confident with hand tools
  • Be able to carry out Preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Ability to find root cause of a problem
  • Basic electrical knowledge
  • Have the confidence to lead a small team
