JOB TYPE: Receptionist

COMPANY: Business Consultancy

TERM: Permanent

START DATE: 13th May 2019

HOURS: 9.00am - 18.00pm, Monday - Friday

SALARY: Up to £23,000pa

LOCATION: Walking distance to Barbican Station

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior receptionist looking for longevity in their career, to develop their skillset further. Our client is looking for a bright and friendly candidate to join their fun and professional team, and to provide excellent reception and administration support.

It is essential that the candidate in this role is customer focused, with a "can do" attitude, and that all interactions are friendly, helpful and supportive,

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

Reception Duties:

  • Meeting and greeting all visitors ensuring they sign in and out of the building
  • Advising staff members when clients and other visitors have arrived and providing refreshments where required
  • Answering incoming calls, transferring calls and taking messages as required
  • Taking receipt of post and all deliveries to the office, ensuring packages and letters are distributed as soon as possible
  • Preparing reception area and all meeting rooms for the day, maintaining and servicing them throughout the day
  • Host throughout the day when internal fieldwork is running on site

Other Duties:

  • Booking couriers and taxis for employees as requested and completing relevant spreadsheet
  • Maintain stock levels and fill tea points, vending machine and Nespresso machine daily
  • Frank outgoing post and keeping record of all special and recorded deliveries
  • Shredding of all confidential documentation
  • Providing support to the Facilities Manager in busy periods
  • Maintain stationery stock levels and booking of stationery and equipment
  • Cater food and drinks for all internal meetings on request

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • At least 1 years' receptionist experience
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook skills, with experience of the other Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Excellent spoken and written English and a smart appearance
  • Friendly, confident and professional
  • Proactive and responsive and will take pride in their work
  • Reliable and a good time-keeper
  • Able to multi task and have a calm demeanour
  • Willing to work flexible hours
