Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Principal Safety Engineer to be based in Derby on a contract basis.

In this role, you will act as the technical lead and single point of contact for Nuclear Safety for Periodic Review of Safety (PRS) projects. You will be tasked with ensuring that the programme receives the necessary safety case input from all areas.

Role Details:

Job title: Principal Safety Engineer
Hourly rate: Competitive
Location: Raynesway, Derby, DE21
Hours: 37 hours per week, flexible working arrangements
Duration: Until Nov 2021
Contract type: PAYE via UmbrellaA full job specification will be provided at interview stage.

What we are looking for in applications:

Degree (or equivalent) in a science or engineering based subject, or equivalent experience
Experience of producing and managing nuclear safety case assessments for facilities to support nuclear safety case
An understanding of safety case implementation
Ability to work in ambiguous environments
Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within the agreed specifications
Knowledge of Manufacturing Techniques and Processes is desirable**Security clearance**
