Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for 2 self-motivated people to join our young people's support teams in West Cornwall providing a high class cleaning service across 4 schemes.

The successful candidates will be based in Pool but will also work in Redruth and Penzance delivering high quality cleaning and working alongside other housing management and support staff.

With a primary focus on keeping the communal areas and accommodation to a high standard of cleanliness you will be an integral member of the support services helping to ensure that health and safety standards are met and buildings and accommodation are well maintained.You will need to work flexibly and responsively in ever-changing environments, be resilient and motivated and able to adapt to communicate appropriately and with colleagues and young people.

These roles are being offered on a part time basis, working 22.2 hours per week and may include weekend working. Bandwidth hours will be 8am to 9pm.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups, and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Appointment to the post will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.

To be considered for the role of Support Services Cleaner, you will:

- Have high standards of cleanliness

- Be adaptable and responsive

- Able to communicate well with young people

- Desire to help young people whenever appropriate

- Have a good understanding of fire, health and safety issues including COSHH

- Have some understanding of risk assessment and management, safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries (additional training will be provided)

- Be a team player

- Be resilient, be able to work under pressure and prioritise workloads

- Work flexibly
