Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for a Principal Engineer - Safety and Environmental Engineering to add to their talented, hardworking team in Barrow-in-Furness on an initial 12-month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering £60 Ltd per hour.

The Role
Within the role of Principal Engineer - Safety and Environmental Engineering you'll be responsible for:

To articulate and present complex technical argument clearly, logically and simply.
Provide assurance to the Design Authority as to the adequacy and robustness of the Safety Case and supporting documentation.
To liaise with both internal and external customers as required ensuring that their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate and agreed. In addition, you'll also undertake peer reviews or checking / verification tasks as directed.

You

To succeed within the role of Principal Engineer - Safety and Environmental Engineering you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:

Safety Management Systems (SMS);
Producing Functional Safety justifications;
Deriving Safety Function Requirements (SFRs);
Fault Tree Analysis (FTA);
Event Tree Analysis (ETA);In addition, any experience of in using safety standards and guidance: E.g. IEC61508, DO178, DEF-STAN-00-56, ARP-4761; or Accident Sequence Modelling (ASM); will be helpful
