The main goal of this role is to work with line management, EH&S team members and other operational departments to provide support and direction to the business on EH&S programs and processes

What will I be doing as an Environmental, Health and Safety Regional Manager (EH&S Manager)?
  • Support Chubb Fire & Security to implement the EH&S requirements both statutory and from UTC/CCS/Chubb, including EH&S Management Systems, Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR's), Company Cardinal Rules, Standard Practices (SP's), Standard Work Instructions (SWI) and other safety processes.
  • Support the allocated business area to ensure that all country regulatory EH&S requirements are known, understood and properly implemented.
  • Keep abreast of new EH&S regulations and the impact they will have on operations.
  • Support the allocated business area in implementation of the Company EHS plan.
  • Deliver EHS training and education programmes as required to staff at all levels. This may be within any parts of the business as required.
  • Maintaining accreditation and/or training skills for delivery of any EH&S courses as required.
  • Develop safety systems or innovations and ideas to further improve or assist in delivery of the EHS programme.
  • Carry out audits, inspection and monitoring programmes to facilitate and evaluate the effectiveness of policies, programs and training. This may be within other parts of the business as requested, including within other CCS business units within or outside the UK.
  • Provide support and guidance necessary to achieve integration of EH&S into operational aspects of the allocated business area.
  • Support the allocated business area in the investigation and follow up of accidents, identifying root causes, developing and monitoring corrective action plans, assisting in identifying trends and operational deficiencies.
To be successful in this role you will:
  • Current knowledge of EHS practices and legislation in the UK
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Ability to produce reports and communicate audit findings and present information
  • IT literate with a good knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Hands on approach, flexible and approachable in dealing with internal & external clients.
  • Enthusiasm for the topic of EHS, drive and passion for positively improving safety standards.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and the ability to stay away regularly overnight as required given the size of the geographical area to be covered
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills at all staff levels - i.e. comfortable speaking with both Managers and engineers.
  • NEBOSH Diploma level or an equivalent level qualification
  • CMIOSH, with experience of multiple sites several years post qualification experience
  • Environmental qualification or experience desirable
  • Experience of safety in either; construction, FM - or similiar, maintenance, or installation work
