Location: Gloucester - Flexible due to COVID-19
Rate: £290 per day

Vacancy Overview
The Security Analyst will maintain and support the corporate technical and Operations/Perimeter Security environments at a mid-level to provide a quality service to all the customers of IT. The post holder will be part of a team who are the recognised point of contact for day to day support in the Operations Security Team within Enterprise IT and will attain an in-depth understanding of EDF's business needs and Company objectives.

Nature and Scope
Operating Environment
The Enterprise IT operating environment is complex, meaning our stakeholders' needs are constantly shifting and evolving, in several dimensions:
*Supporting a rapidly evolving energy supply market, both in industry and in the home.
*Supporting the need to move beyond supply, to provide innovative energy services and products.
*Supporting our existing generation assets through to end of life and beyond.
*Supporting our new build programme.
*Meeting our cost targets set by the Executive; and
*Digitalising the workplace to support ever more efficient ways of working.
To meet the challenges presented by a complex environment, the Enterprise IT team needs to work with the right culture and in an effective way.
Within this context, the post holder helps Enterprise IT meet our customers' needs by running the specialist technologies solutions required to enable the business.

Principal Accountabilities
Transformation Accountabilities:
*Support future enhancements to the services and products provided by the EIS Operations Security team.
Operational/Programme Accountabilities;
*Provide first line Operations Security support services on technologies including firewalls, Internet proxies, and security log and event management systems.
*Be responsible for the prioritisation and clearance or escalation of Operations Security incidents reported through the EDF Energy helpdesk reporting system, or escalation process.
*Perform Operations Security system and infrastructure inspections on a regular basis.
*The Operations Security Analyst may from time to time be asked to assist in the delivery of projects, both internal to the team and wider EDF Community.
*Liaise with internal and external service providers and third parties.
*Provide Operations Security infrastructure performance and service summary reporting to the Operations Security Manager.
*Use knowledge gained to identify opportunities to improve customer support.
*Participate in an out of hours standby rota covering the Operations Security infrastructure working without direct supervision and manage operational problems outside of normal working hours.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience

Knowledge and Skills:
*A good knowledge of Operations/Perimeter Security environments.
*Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
*Industry knowledge of security best practices.
*Awareness of contractual agreements between EDF and its IT service partners.
*Awareness of energy, generation, supply industry and EDF ambitions.

Qualifications and Experience.
*Proven experience in supporting Operations/Perimeter Security environments.
*Experience of working in a nuclear regulated environment.
