Job Description:

Maintenance Engineer - Injection moulding experience needed!

The Role:

This role will involve all aspects of trouble shooting, problem solving and project work. You will be required to look for and implement continuous improvements individually and as part of a team. In addition, you will also be required to plan and carry out preventative maintenance in order to ensure a high standard of plant maintenance is always achieved.

Main Responsibilities:

You will be required to assist in all maintenance activities on site, to ensure factory production budgets are met or exceeded. The successful candidate will be working as part of the maintenance team ensuring all injection moulding equipment is operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and in a safe order and will be required to contribute to the application of 5's and other lean manufacturing principles within the factory. You will also be required to adhere to strict health and safety requirements at all times.

·Install and or maintain all injection moulding in line with Company requirements

·Operate a preventative electrical maintenance system to ensure that the plant & machinery are in good working order

·Fault find and repair any injection moulding related problems on the plant or equipment

· Fault find/Program PLC equipment

·Use various types of testing equipment in order to locate and remedy faults in the shortest possible time

·Ensure that all plant and machinery is kept in a good working and clean condition

·Assist with the installation of new plant equipment

·Ensure that you are aware of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures and that you adhere to them at all times

·Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes cooperation with colleagues

·Promote Lean thinking and actively look for ways to improve your efficiency

·Take care of equipment used while performing the job

·Cooperate with supervision and fellow employees

·Actively take part in any training requested to enhance your role

·Safely carry out all manual handling in the correct and trained manner

·Work safely and follow all safety rules at all times
