Job Description:

On behalf of our Client based in Stoke we are looking for an Experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their organisation on permanent basis.

Initial day shift moving to continental shift - applicants must be able to support early, back and day shifts. (which will include weekends as part of the rotation).

Applicants must have relevant apprenticeship or qualification and be multi-skilled with electrical bias, with proven experience in fast moving (FMCG) environment.

You will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs to electrical and mechanical production machinery. Resolving machine breakdowns in a timely manner.

Key Duties

Carry out repairs to production machinery, fixtures and equipment using lathe, drills, miller and grinder and by welding, brazing and soldering.
Undertaking and documenting scheduled PPM maintenance.
Respond to all breakdowns including Electrical and Mechanical fault diagnosis.
To re-sleeve radial chuck jaws with heat-resistant tape
Change water saw blade for production as and when required.
Assist with machine and equipment upgrade
Fit grinding wheels in accordance with regulations
Safe use of all machinery in the workshops inclusive of Lathes, Millers, Surface Grinding and welding equipment.
Operation of forklift trucks

Experience/Skills

Relevant apprenticeship or formal training in multiskilled discipline, electrical bias
17th or 18th Edition Electrical Engineering
Knowledge of installing/repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and PLC equipment.
Heavy Engineering/FMCG experience
Understanding of reliability control maintenance processed and asset clarification
Can do attitude and results orientated
Flexible in approach to working hours including overtime and weekends
