Job Description:

Core hours of work - Monday - Friday, hours as necessary

Contracted Hours - 37 hours per week

Pay Rate - Competitive

This is a full time, permanent position.

What is the role?

Conduct investigations as directed by the Group Loss Prevention Manager, to resolve known or suspected criminal activities and breaches of company policy; liaising with Employee Relations (ER) and external agencies and governmental bodies.

Check depot procedures to ensure that the in-depot systems and disciplines are being adhered to, so that profitability is maintained.

Investigate, either through overt or covert observation, to identify breaches of security.

Undertake detailed investigations to establish the location of missing freight or company property.

Compile investigation packages to a standard that will be accepted by Law Enforcement agencies, including witness, victim impact and exhibit statements.

Recommend changes to routines, practices, and review system disciplines in an effort to design risk out of the operation.

Assist in the emergency management and contingency planning.

Experience of working with and influencing internal and external senior business stakeholders

Excellent oral and written communications skills including:

The ability to engage and build rapport with stakeholders

Communicating information in a clear and commercial manner

Adapting style and content for different audiences

Able to demonstrate a confident, credible and accomplished presentation style

Excellent business acumen and strong commercial and financial awareness

Adaptable, positive and effective when working with ambiguity and changing commercial drivers

Able to work at pace whilst maintaining an accurate, high quality output

Highly organised with a well-developed approach to prioritisation

Possesses a positive and collegiate attitude

Able to adapt swiftly with a willingness to undertake challenging tasks to ensure stakeholder satisfaction

Confident to make quick decisions and escalate where appropriate.

Willing to undertake extensive travel where required.

On call, one in every three weeks.
