Job Description:

Massey Feeds is a fifth generation family business manufacturing animal feeds from our mill at Holmes Chapel. We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our team.

The job holder will undertake maintenance of milling equipment ensuring safe operation and achievement of production targets. Experience of fault finding in a similar process industry is essential. Diagnosis within plant control systems and PLC's including Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi is desirable.

Massey Feeds continue to invest in our plant, so experience of electrical installation work is also an advantage. All round familiarisation and technical aptitude towards mechanical equipment would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will undertake daily inspections providing a breakdown/repair service and participation in the out-of-hours call-out rota. Applicants should have electrical/technical ability and experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance. Candidates will need to demonstrate full appreciation of working within a culture that encourages teamwork and where Health & Safety considerations are first and foremost.

The successful applicant will be practical and with good interpersonal skills. Candidates must live within reasonable commutable distance to our Holmes Chapel site. On offer is a c ompetitive wage together with excellent Terms & Conditions.

The mill currently operates from Sunday 6pm to Saturday 6pm and the maintenance rota is geared to support this, although some flexibility will be required.

The maintenance rota is a three week rotating shift cycle covering Monday - Friday, 6am - 11pm, along with overtime and a call out rota...... click apply for full job details
