Part time Payroll Administrator
Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator looking to take on a new challenge? Our client a successful and friendly organisation based in Market Harborough is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their small but friendly team.
Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator will assist them by helping to process approximately 200 payrolls. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively and manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Assist the Payroll Manager with the end to end payroll processing for a broad spectrum of payrolls from Director only payrolls to payrolls with approx. 100 employees on.
* Inputting changes to the payroll system i.e. rate changes, department changes, tax codes, third party payments etc.
* Checking entitlement for holiday pay
* Processing all payment information on in-house system to ensure timely payments to employees
* Sending electronic payslips, P45s, etc.
* Maintaining payroll records for benefits & pension purposes and administering changes where necessary
* Dealing with general pay and tax queries
* Cover weekly pay duties as and when required - Monthly at present
* An understanding of PAYE and NICs
* Liaising with other areas of the business to ensure accuracy
* Use of SAGE Payroll
Skills, experience and qualifications required:
* 2+ years' experience of end to end payroll cycle is essential
* Practical knowledge of weekly and monthly payroll
* Experience of CIS and P11d processing would be advantageous but not essential
* Auto Enrolment knowledge is essential
* Working knowledge of pensions and associated legislation is essential
* Multi-company experience would be advantageous
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software programs
* Experienced in using SAGE payroll
* Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
* Work well under pressure
Salary: £23,000 pro rata dep on exp + Free parking + benefits
Hours of work: 20 - 25 hours per week. Days to be agreed with the successful candidate
