Logistics Quality Manager - West Midlands - Distribution

Salary £25K - £30K (depending on experience)

Our Client is one of the largest privately owned freight carriers in the UK and has built a reputation for reliability and quality of service over the last 25 years. What sets them aside from other delivery companies is the fact that they operate their own logistics network throughout the UK.

Due to continued growth they are delighted to be looking to recruit an experienced Logistics Quality Manager to add to its management team. The potential candidate will have a wonderful opportunity to join a fast-paced forward-thinking well-known brand.

Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for supporting our Logistics teams through continuous review of Logistics processes and analytics to identifying opportunities to operationally improve the quality and experience for our customers.

You are responsible for ensuring operational tasks are completed in the most efficient, accurate, timely and cost-effective manner, whilst ensuring service levels and our customer experience is not compromised.

Additionally, you will be focused on.

  • Department compliance on H&S, HR, Quality, Environmental, Recruitment, Training and Systems. Including identifying and resolving any areas of non-compliance
  • Support resolution of any internal & external complaints and implementing a customer first approach in all aspects of the operation.
  • Operational Training and System Improvements through continuous improvement programme
  • Identify areas to improve current operational working practices and drive continuous improvement mentality
  • Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits
  • Investigate & support resolution of direct quality issues through to remediation
  • Assess service, quality, or operational risks and develop risk management strategies
  • Support, Communicate and embed written policies and procedures across the operational network for consistency - (Standard Operating Platform)
  • Coaching & Mentoring cross functionally aspects of Quality.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience of carrying out audits of process, analysing results and implementing change within a fast-paced warehouse, logistics or operational environment.
  • You will be analytical, data focused, highly organised and have exceptional attention to detail alongside the ability to develop plans and deliver outstanding service.
  • You will be a confident communicator and able to influence and motivate at all levels through both verbally and written communications.
  • A person capable of decisive and effective decision-making, in a time pressured environment
  • Someone that really enjoys resolving problems and demonstrates high levels of resilience, self-motivation, and flexibility...... click apply for full job details
