Compliance and Risk Officer - Manchester

Compliance and Risk Officer - This is an opportunity to join the Compliance and Risk Team of a leading national Law Firm, based in their Manchester. Reporting in to the Head of Compliance, you provide a crucial role in making sure the firm remains compliant with all is regulatory and legislative obligations.

SUMMARY

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will work with the existing internal compliance and risk team in producing reports and identifying trends in relation to the firm's behaviours and practices. Data collation is also important and the role involves everything from data inputting to extracting and analysing that data.

Managing risk and compliance is a key part of the position. Duties may involve anything from promoting and providing training on the most recent regulatory developments to helping to draft and implement new policies and procedures.

Furthermore, a compliance and risk officer is capable of spotting regulatory issues and escalating them within the team as efficiently as possible.

The team works may be working on various projects at any one time and any candidate should be capable of observing external accreditations specifically those in relation to quality management and information security.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

This role demands someone with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication and presentation skills with ideally some prior experience of working in a compliance role either within a law firm or another financial services institution. Furthermore, you should have excellent presentation skills and be capable of working well within any team.
