Office Administrator / Receptionist - Immediate Start
Permanent
Chelmsford, Essex
£16,000 - £18,500

Our client, a leading specialist within the construction industry is currently recruiting for an experienced Office Administrator / Receptionist to join a busy and thriving team.

You will be ensuring all calls and visitors are dealt with effectively and efficiently, to assist with the day to day smooth running of all Companies and to support the Management Services team.

The Role

  • Answer the telephones and direct calls to correct person/division
  • Basic secretarial duties, supporting an MD
  • Meet and greet visitors
  • Filing of quotes
  • Weekly stationary / food shop
  • Update telephone & birthday list
  • Frank and deliver post to Post Office, daily
  • Register parking / dart crossings / congestion
  • Add / remove vehicles from vehicle breakdown accounts as required
  • Cross reference completed files
  • Provide refreshments for meetings as required
  • Maintenance of vehicles including MOT, Services, TAX, Repairs and Insurance and liaising with the mechanics to book and complete the relevant paperwork including downloading vehicle tracking reports
  • Ordering fuel cards and updating the log
  • Dealing with and paying PCN's
  • Booking of annual Fire Extinguishers maintenance for TP & Contar Resins
  • Ordering of headed paper, comp slips & business cards
  • Administration of Health Surveillance questionnaires
  • Keeping online portals up-to-date i.e Builders Profile, Constructionline
  • Booking courses & ordering CSCS cards
  • Mileage spreadsheet maintenance
  • Creating HR induction packs
  • Assistance to the reception team
  • General ad-hoc duties as required

The Candidate

  • Must be available to start immediately
  • Previous reception and administration experience is essential
  • Candidates from a construction, landscaping or building environment would be a major advantage
  • Computer literate in Microsoft office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Highly organised, presentable and personable individual
  • MUST BE A CAR OWNER / DRIVER DUE TO LOCATION

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm however flexibility is required
