Audit/Accounts Senior - Aldershot - £30,000 - £45,000

My clients are a family-run chartered accountancy based is Hampshire. They have a number of varied clients ranging from small to big companies covering nearby county's.

They're now on the lookout for a well presented, friendly Audit/Accounts Senior to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Planning, carrying out and completing statutory audits and building the practice audit facility - 20% to 30% audit work

• Reporting directly to the Partners

• Provides general support to clients in the provision of tax advice

• Regularly attends meetings; when appropriate, answering client queries

• Supports partners on tax planning and other ad hoc projects

• Can produce a well supported piece of technical research

• Assists with the production of tax reports and reviewing documents

• Acts as a point of contact on specific projects for any queries from the business

• Demonstrates sufficient technical knowledge to undertake relevant area of work

• Accounts preparation for sole traders, companies, partnerships, societies and charities

• Preparation of simple corporation tax computations

• Providing advice to owner managers on both business and personal tax matters

• Travelling to client premises as required

• Achieving or exceeding assignment budgeted fees and profits and/or identifying reasons for non-achievement of budgets as appropriate

• Keeping senior management/engagement partner fully informed at all times of progress on jobs, in particular if there is likely to be an unplanned write off

• Carrying out review work on accounts and other assignments prepared by team members when required

• Any ad hoc assignments or tasks

Requirements

Either part qualified or newly qualified ACA or ACCA

Past experiences working in a similar position

Full Clean UK Driving License

Benefits

Salary range £30,000 - £45,000

9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday

8.30am to 5.00pm Fridays with one hour for lunch
