Job Description:

Retial Bias Site Manager, South UK, Bristol Business

Your new company

This multi-award-winning contractor based in Bristol have been established nearly 20 years and managed steady, controlled growth year on year. Currently with a turnover in excess of £50m and a healthy profit margin, they are looking to expand their management team. They have forged an excellent reputation for delivering quality projects across the south of the UK specialising in internal refurbishments and small scale new build projects across commercial, residential and retail sectors. They have a strong team who are mostly long serving with the company and a real ethos of team working and treating people in the right way.

Your new role

As a Site Manager you will manage the operational delivery of construction projects within the operating area outlined above with values usually between £500k-5m. A lot of work is in the retail sector and will involve working outside of the Bristol area where your lodge and food for staying away from home will be covered by the company. You will report to one of the Directors relevant to the client you are delivering the project for and play a pivotal role within the business. Your primary goal will be to deliver each project to the client's expectations, on time, on budget and most importantly with no health and safety issues.

What you'll need to succeed

For the best chance of success with this role you will have five years or more experience in a similar role within the construction industry. You will likely live local to Bristol but have a history of working on projects outside the region, ideally within the retail or refurbishment sector. You will have a genuine passion for construction and a track record of projects successfully delivered. You will likely come from a trade background or hold some academic qualifications such as ONC/HNC in Construction. You will also need to have valid SMSTS and First Aid at Work certificates. You will be confident in dealing with subcontractors, clients and the general public. Finally, you will need good man management skills, be well organised and manage your time well. All alongside a sound overall knowledge of the construction process.

What you'll get in return

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established, reputable business where you will enjoy the benefits of being part of a great team and receive a remuneration package that is extremely competitive along with the security of a strong project pipeline, and a risk adverse work winning strategy. If you are a driven, focused and innovative individual who has the knowledge and experience to perform this role to the highest standards then please apply now and I will be in touch for a confidential discussion.
