Receptionist

Pontyclun

20 days annual leave + bank holidays (pro rota)

£8.25p/h - Full Time

Due to continuous growth our client has identified an opportunity for an experienced Receptionist to provide reception cover to their well-established veterinary practice in Pontyclun.

Monday 10.00 - 5.30pm

Tuesday 10.00 - 7.30pm

Wednesday 10.00am - 1.30pm

Thursday 10.00pm - 7.30pm

Friday 10.00am - 5.30pm

Position Summary:

As a Receptionist you will be first point of contact for patients, this role is essential to ensuring the practice is portrayed in a professional manner.

The successful candidate should have the drive and ability to;

  • To provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to customers and colleagues.
  • To ensure that telephone enquiries are handled efficiently and courteously
  • Provide clients with information to aid in the care of their pets under veterinary guidance.
  • Undertake all elements of cash handling, including taking cash and card payments and cashing up.
  • The ability to protect customer confidentiality and build a relationship of trust.
  • Deal with patient requests and update patient records quickly, accurately and with empathy.
  • Undertake administrative tasks with care, precision and responsibility.
  • To take an enthusiastic role within the team to provide the best possible customer experience.

Who are we looking for?

The Receptionist will have the required skills and experience to undertake and thrive in this role, including:

  • Proven experience within a Customer Service / Administration / Receptionist role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both verbally and written
  • High attention to detail and takes pride in their work.
  • Reliable, empathetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who can work as part of a team.
  • Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
