Communicate are working with an exciting global retail start-up to help them with the recruitment of a Financial Analyst on a 6 month Interim Contract.

Company Overview
A UK start-up retail business (corporate headquarters in London) with a presence in Europe and North America. Whilst predominantly a bricks and mortar retailer, they have recently expanded the digital side of their business and have plans for an upgrade to their website in order to access the worldwide e-commerce potential.
With several retail units and over 100 global employees, the company represents a diverse range of languages and cultures from all over the world.

Role Overview
This is an experienced analyst role, to lead on the delivery of key strategic initiatives across the group. The role will report into the Finance Director, working closely with the Board and Executive team. Prior experience in either a fast-paced retail or FMCG business is essential. Start-up experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced financial modelling including sensitivity and scenario analysis
  • Influencing the business and senior leaders by providing value-added analysis and recommendations, in order to support business decision-making
  • Take financial ownership of standalone projects
  • Delivering requirements autonomously and under limited supervision
  • Developing strong working relationships with regional finance teams

Requirements

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • London-based with some travel required
  • Proven expertise in large scale analysis roles essential
  • Data driven decision-making experience essential
  • Business case development and presentation experience to Board level
  • Strong financial systems experience (Large Scale ERP)
  • Strong Excel skills (VBA/Macros)
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK

The role is a 6 month Interim Contract to start immediately.
