My client a local company requires a confident, upbeat and highly personable individual to head their reception area but also assist with admin functions for both their HR and Car Fleet departments.

It is important to note that this is NOT a busy reception area so therefore candidates seeking busy front line reception roles need not apply. The role will require someone engaging and customer friendly as you will be the face of this organisation, the admin duties in the position will be varied and will require the successful candidate to juggle many multiple priorities.

Role duties

• Answering main line switchboard and transferring calls

• Meeting and greeting visitors to the company

• Managing post and courier functions

• Issuing visitor passes

• Fire alarm testing on a weekly basis

• Assisting with fire warden duties

• Assisting HR with a wide variety of admin duties which will include;

• Extensive reference checking- this is quite an intensive process so requires the tenacity to keep chasing for required information

• Raising airport security pass paperwork

• Applying for criminal record checks

• All database updates and general HR administration

• Car Fleet administration which will include;

• Processing penalty charge notices and speeding fines

• Upkeep of fleet database

• Preparing monthly car fleet reports for management

• Distribution of vehicle tax discs

• Ordering new and replacement fuel cards

• General fleet administration

Essential skills

You will be a confident and customer friendly individual who enjoys administration work.

The ability to work on your own initiative and able to juggle multiple priorities

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail

Able to keep confidentialities

Be assertive when required (when processing high levels of reference requests)

Well-presented and confident
