Job Description:

A start up online retailer is looking for an enthusiastic Receptionist to come and support our Office Manager. This is a great role for someone looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, tech start-up environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and welcoming guests with exceptional service as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Directing visitors to the appropriate person
  • Ensuring reception, communal areas and meeting rooms are tidy and presentable
  • Receiving, sorting and distributing daily mail and deliveries
  • Maintaining office security by following safety procedures and controlling access through the reception desk
  • Ordering front office supplies and weekly kitchen stock
  • Monitoring meeting room bookings
  • Providing basic and accurate information in-person, via email and sometimes phone
  • Maintaining and arranging necessary office repairs
  • Assisting with general day-to-day office management
  • Supporting the Office Manager in planning and managing small to company-wide, internal events ranging from Friday drinks to the Christmas party

Essential Experience:

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Professional customer service attitude
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
