Indigo are a market leader in the UK for the provision of car parking and associated services. With our expertise and experience in designing, building, financing and operating across a variety of market sectors, we specialise in the development and management of car parking solutions for both public and private organisations. With our Business Support Centre based in Watford, Hertfordshire this prime location allows us to grow and deliver our services nationally. We currently have 67 contracts across the UK and a workforce of approx. 850. With a keen focus on business development, we are looking to recruit great people to our existing teams!

We are seeking to recruit reliable and hardworking individuals to work as Security Officers at our Addenbrookes Security Contract.

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing an effective security service to visitors, patients and staff, within the hospital confines and the accident and emergency department. In addition, you will be required to patrol the internal and external areas on a regular basis to prevent crime, vandalism and theft.

You may also be required to carry out other duties consistent with the position, including monitoring of CCTV and to complete all necessary administration documents on a regular basis.

Candidates must also be prepared to undergo a 10 year background screening security check, under the 'BS 7858' standard.

Reporting to the Team Manager, working hours will either be a weekly average of 42 hours, spread across a 4-on-4-off shift pattern or you are able to work zero hours on a casual contract. A full uniform and training will be provided.

  • A full, clean driving licence (CatB1 manual) is essential

  • An enjoyment of working in all weather conditions

  • The ability to follow procedures and guidelines

  • Previous experience in a similar position would be an advantage, but training will be provided

  • The ideal candidate would hold a valid general SIA license and a CCTV license

  • It would also be preferred if the candidates had up-to-date training in control and restraint
