Job Description:

Prime appointments have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Manager to join a well-established and expanding Electrical company. To be considered for the Warehouse Manager position you will need a 2 years' experience and proven track record within the Warehouse management with excellent leadership skills and ability to train and develop your team.

Duties:

* Coach and support the General Assistant Team to deliver daily task sheets correctly in particular

* Organise shifts and manage the team on site day to day

* Ensure pickers have all orders ready to be loaded

* Responsible for Health & Safety and housekeeping of warehouse.

* Liaising with different departments across the business with queries and support where necessary.

* Use stock control systems such as SAP to ensure everything is up to date and accurate

* Create regular reports and statistics for analysis.

* Credits always processed on the same day as returned.

* Manage Faulty parts / Damages/ Supplier Returns daily.

* Ensure effective morning routines are in place and supplier's deliveries is away back on shelf before end of every day

* Preparation for stock takes at given dates to achieve a smooth and successful stock take on access, count and accuracy. Be ultimately responsible for the stock and its journey from receipt to dispatch and all stock correctly located.

* Ensure full induction training and support for all new starters.

* Identify one behavioural improvement that would enhance performance for each colleague and agree timescales and measures to move forwards, include this in every performance review

Key experience/skills

* Experienced Manager preferably from an Electrical Industry background

* Strong people management and communication skills

* Valid forklift/counterbalance licence desirable

* Good understanding of KPI's

* Be able to Coach, train, develop and demonstrate leadership values

* Previous experience managing around 12 people

* Be able to work in fast paced environment (up 250 orders in one day)

* Previous experience with SAP desirable

* Working hours will be either 8:00-18:00 or 9:00 to 19:00 with 1-hour lunch, and 1 out of 4 Saturdays 8:00 to 13:00
