We're part of The Priceline Group, the world leader in online travel and related services, along with Booking.com, priceline.com, KAYAK, agoda.com, and OpenTable. We're looking for candidates to join us for a full-time position (37.5 hours weekly) on a rotational pattern dependant on the opening hours of your market. You'll be working in one of the coolest (due to be the most talked about office environment in the UK) having undergone a state of the art refurbishment.

We're looking for someone to lead the way in our front of house team as a Receptionist, based at our home in the iconic building - Sunlight House, Spinningfields in Manchester city centre.

The focus:

As a Receptionist your main purpose will be to create a positive, welcoming, friendly environment for everyone who visits Rentalcars.com, reflecting the Rentalcars.com culture and Values. You will be responsible for supporting the business within the customer services environment on a daily basis. Your main tasks will be meeting and greeting all guests as described above, taking phone calls and providing support to other departments.

Duties will include:

  • Living and demonstrating the Rentalcars.com culture and Values.
  • Ensuring all visitors sign in/out of the building for health and safety and security reasons and maintain visitor passes.
  • To greet service contractors, issue access passes.
  • Operating switchboard and directing calls to relevant departments/colleagues.
  • Assisting with diary management for all meeting rooms.
  • Receive and sort daily mail.
  • Sign for deliveries and notify correct person for collection.
  • Providing support to Training and Recruitment team, ensuring that all candidates and new starters are directed and fill in necessary starter forms.
  • Updating internal communication systems.
  • Providing ad hoc support to Facilities team.
  • Making sure that reception area and switchboard are manned at all times and kept presentable.

Skills and experience:

  • Previous reception experience within a corporate or hospitality environment is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident and comfortable when dealing with a diverse group of people from wide ranging nationalities and backgrounds.
  • Proven track record of strong administrative/organisational skills.
  • Fluent in English - both verbal & written.
  • Experience of operating a switchboard and answering the telephone - essential.
  • Competent level of IT skills in Word and Excel, and other Microsoft products such as Outlook.
