Job Description:

Our client operates within the professional services environment and has a permanent vacancy for a Part Time Receptionist working 7.30am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have some previous reception experience and be familiar with a multi-line switchboard.

General Reception Duties

  • to answer a multi-line switchboard quickly (ideally within 3 ring cycles) and direct calls to their destination without delay;

  • greeting clients, answering questions, announcing calls and providing directions as secondary duties. The key to the role is in always dealing with incoming calls whilst delivering the secondary duties wherever possible but always in such a way that positively affects the client's perception of the firm;

  • log information on calls received, where required and maintain detailed and accurate records;

  • maintain the general reception area ensuring all items replenished refreshments available and health and safety requirements complied with;

  • observe record and monitor visitors/deliveries to office, alerting Manager of any concerns;

  • maintain excellent presentation of reception area (i.e. flowers, newspapers, brochures etc);

  • empty / load dishwasher as required;

  • maintain high security standards by monitoring of visitors, site engineers, deliveries etc. and securing offices on leaving the premises each day; and

  • General postal duties. Opening and preparing incoming and outgoing mail and DX, arranging / organising courier deliveries

    Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with a wide range of internal and external clients / suppliers

  • Ability to work well on your own and within a team

  • Experience within a similar role

  • The ability to work using your own initiative
