Security Guard/Receptionist
Hemel Hampstead
Contract

Job Description:
• SIA License required

Reception:
• Meet and greet visitors, ensure they sign in and issue with a visitors paper pass, advise hosts accordingly
• Check meeting room system and prepare visitor passes if required
• Liaise with staff to escort visitors to client meeting room areas
• Issue temporary access cards to staff and maintain log in diary
• Deal with "drop in clients and visitors" and refer to appropriate department or give information requested
• Assist Disabled Visitors to the building
• Make sure new staff members are issued with the correct documentation and temporary passes
• Ensure diary dates and times of Case Conferences are correct
• Issue panic alarms and telephone to Child Protection chairs before meetings start, print out any reports sent via email and give to chair.
• Answer intercom for the building entrances and car park barrier
• To be able to handle sensitive and confidential information and appropriately communicate with all staff, visitors and service users.
• Monitor and respond to calls to goods-in entrance.

Security:
• Undertake patrols and inspections in accordance with management instruction.
• Monitor and review CCTV when required
• Work closely to manage the security office including the issue of ID cards and AV equipment, access to safe and keys, lost property, management of security email inbox, etc.
• Complete Incident Reports.
• Maintain the Daily Occurrence Book (DOB)
• Manage the fleet vehicles.

Car Park Management:
• Issue permit car parking passes and maintain database
• Contact owners of cars that may have parked illegally or if there is a problem with their vehicle
• Carry out regular patrols of Car Park and traffic management as and when required.

Facilities Services:
• When on night duty, to undertake room set-ups as required, replenish photo-copiers and stationary cupboards as required.
• Adhere to all H&S policies and take responsibility for any H&S breaches noted in the course of duty.
• Carry out required weekly/monthly audits as instructed by manager i.e. Panic Alarms, Fire Alarm Tests, Fire Extinguisher checks, lift alarms, Disabled Toilet Alarms
• Contact first aider in case of staff illness or accident via "TEXT-ALERT"
• Respond to and deal with all site emergencies.
• Receive first aid training and attended incidents as required
