The Microbiology Society is a membership charity for scientists interested in microbes, their effects and their practical uses. It is one of the largest microbiology societies in Europe with a worldwide membership based in universities, industry, hospitals, research institutes and schools.

We are seeking to recruit a Chair for the Audit Committee (a largely member populated Committee with the remit to provide the Society Trustees with guidance on matters relating to statutory audit, financial and other regulatory standards compliance, and risk management).

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of holding a position in a similar area in a mid/large sized corporate or charitable organization.

A reasonable travel or out of pocket expenses will be covered and would require attendance at a minimum of four meetings a year.
