Security Intruder Alarms / CCTV Service / Installation Engineers

My client is one of the largest independent burglar alarm companies based in Croydon. They install and maintain burglar alarms within the M25 to the highest quality industry standards.

My client is accredited by the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) and all their alarm systems are installed to NSI Gold standards and issued with a NACOSS Gold certificate.

My client is now looking to recruit engineers experienced in the Service / Installation of Intruder alarm and CCTV systems.

The role:

  • Installing and maintaining various intruder, CCTV and access control systems
  • Working towards and exceeding maintenance and fault-finding targets
  • Demonstrate systems for customers, and explain details such as the causes and consequences of false alarms
  • Commission/ Handover of CCTV, Intruder Alarms and Access Control Systems
  • Understanding the clients' needs and fulfilling all jobs required
  • Any other reasonable requests from management
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of themselves and their team in accordance with the company's policy
  • To actively support at all times, company policy and best practice in the area of security, with particular emphasis on the protection of sensitive customer information
  • An understanding of the regulatory, fair trading and competition rules relating to their work sufficiently to be able to comply with them, relying on their own knowledge or on their ability to recognise that they will need specialist support

Qualifications and Skills

Ideal Candidates will have experience within some or all of the below areas

  • Conventional & Wireless Intruder Alarm Systems
  • Access control / Door entry systems
  • IP & Analogue CCTV systems with basic networking skills
  • Knowledge of Scantronic control equipment would be a major advantage
  • Knowledge of all types of communication devices to ARCs
  • Familiar with all NSI codes of practice, Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance of all above aspects
  • Knowledge of all current industry standards, EN50131 PD6662, DD243, BS4737, BS8243
  • Full driving licence is essential
