Night Receptionist
£18,000 + Fantastic Career Prospects + Excellent Benefits
South East London.

Working hours: 40 hours a week, shifts either 4 nights in and 3 nights off, or 5 nights in and 2 nights off on a rota basis.

- Do you have at least one years' night reception experience?

As the Night Receptionist you will be the first contact their guests receive on entering the hotel. Role Summary
As a Night Receptionist, you will be required to support the Operations Manager by welcoming guests and carrying out nights duties, preparing reports and room service orders. You will be part of the team responsible for the security of guests in the hotel at night, ensuring regular security checks are completed, paying particular attention to fire and health and safety issues. You will be responsible for the satisfaction of all guest needs and will assist with front office tasks as and when required.

Night Receptionist Key Objectives:

- Ensuring the highest service standards maximising guest satisfaction and ensuring the front desk is never left unattended
- Attend to all guest's enquiries whether in person, or on the phone in a polite and informative manner
- Consistently provide and maintain the highest standard of customer care and service whether in the public eye or in back of house areas
- Be fully conversant in the history, facilities and environments of the hotel and deliver courteous and professional service to guests
- Be security conscious with respect to guest/staff/hotel property/welfare and to report suspicious circumstances to the Duty Manager
- Able to take room service orders and prepare the dishes according to standards and be knowledgeable about menus
- Make sure all breakfast cards are picked up on time and all trays are prepared as well as newspapers
- Operate a proper handover system between shifts in order to maximize guest satisfaction

- Make sure there is a smooth and clear communication with the Night Guest Services Manager
General objectives
- Work safely and securely and ensure that other employees are doing the same
- Attend all training sessions and meetings as requested
- Ensure your appearance meets the hotel standards at all times, including well maintained and clean clothes / uniform and the highest levels of personal hygiene
- Attend all fire, health and safety training as requested
- Achieve and maintain the highest levels of customer service to both external and internal customers at all times.

Night Receptionist Person Specification:

- Knowledge of Front Office Systems is required
- Previous experience within this role (at least a year) is essential.
- Exceptionally maintained appearance
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively with both members of staff and customers
- A commitment to deliver an unparalleled level of customer service is essential
