Immediate Start

A shift pattern to cover the Unit's opening hours of 7.30am-8pm, 7 days a week and you will need to be flexible to cover these hours.

We are looking for a receptionist who will provide excellent customer service and be able to deal with all administrative tasks, as well as emergencies, in a timely and effective manner. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position as well as supporting the professional team and patients.

Work as part of the reception team to deliver a professional and efficient front of house service with the emphasis on maintaining high standards in relation to security, administration and communication. Main Duties/Responsibilities Promote a safe and welcoming front of house environment for patients, staff and visitors 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To ensure that the airlock for the perimeter fence and reception are operated appropriately to ensure that the security of the hospital is maintained at all times.

* To undertake and co-ordinate security checks, incident documentation, audits and census reports as per schedule.
* To ensure that unauthorised persons are NOT GIVEN ACCESS TO THE RECEPTION OFFICE.

* To efficiently communicate with all people in contact with the reception whether by phone, email, radio or in person. To politely respond to all external and internal telephone calls stating the hospital name and courteous greeting appropriate to the time of day/night. Where a member of staff is unavailable to take a transferred telephone call, relay that a message will be taken, record name, summary of call and contact details, relaying such at the earliest opportunity. Report any instances of suspicious callers to the Director of Service Delivery immediately.
