HOTEL RECEPTIONIST - NIGHTS

MANCHESTER

5 DAYS A WEEK, 11.30 PM TO 7.30AM

THE COMPANY:

We are currently working on behalf of a leading Hotel & Accommodation provider in Manchester who is looking to recruit an experienced Night Guest Services /Front of House. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is experienced working nights and that is looking to be part of an amazing group of companies. The successful candidate will receive a high level of training & development which is one of the strongest programs within the industry.

THE ROLE:

  • Working nights with a responsibility for ensuring the security and maintenance of the property with the confidence to work independently.
  • Greet guests/visitors appropriately and determine and assist their needs in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer general, maintenance and emergency phone calls, deal with all general enquiries and resolve reported issues accordingly.
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Answer and deal with all reservations enquiries and accurately record relevant information.
  • To be well versed with all room types, sales types, guest types, VIP codes and room rates
  • Answer, document and act upon all guest requests i.e. wake up calls and special requests, as per the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist with Welcome and Courtesy calls upon arrival
  • Assist the Guest Services Manager/Guest Services Supervisor in following up with any unreachable guests sending a written welcome email/letter. ?
  • To be fully au fait with the local area, events, restaurants, information and to be able to offer this information to our guest pro-actively
  • Ensure the accuracy of guest information, billing and payment details
  • Ensure all front of house policies and procedures are followed
  • Check-in and out : To ensure correct registration procedures are followed upon checking- in and checking-out of guests ?
  • Record the issuing and return of apartment keys as per the Standard Operating Procedures

THE PERSON:

  • The individual must have experience of working for a hotel or accommodation provider within a front of house position.
  • The successful candidate ideally would have experience of working a nights position or be able to demonstrate a strong motivation for seeking nights work
  • Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations as and when required
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to impress guests
  • Knowledge of OPERA software preffered
