As a result of our continued success and expansion plans a number of new positions have been created to support loss prevention activity within the business.

We are seeking a Level 1 - CCTV Operator / Loss Prevention Assistant for our store in St Helens

This is a new position within the business and as such the successful applicants will be joining the Loss prevention department in a position that offers great potential for progression into store detective and LP Coordinator positions (there are development opportunities).

The responsibilities include but are not limited to

Responsibilities

  1. A uniformed visual deterrent against theft and anti-social behaviour which supports the provision of a safe and secure working / shopping environment.
  2. Utilising the store CCTV system at a shopfloor monitoring station to deter / detect criminal activity.
  3. Apprehend and detain offenders in accordance with the company apprehension policy and obtain details for Civil recovery.
  4. Excellent communication skills and clear spoken English.
  5. Statement and incident report writing.
  6. Liaising and building relationships with retail management and external agencies (Police).
  7. Support the Identification of internal theft and fraud.
  8. Demonstrate exceptional customer service at all times.
  9. Working alongside retail colleagues while reporting to the Area Loss Prevention Co-ordinator.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  1. Security experience required, ideally in the retail sector / loss prevention.
  2. Proven track record in the apprehension of offenders for theft.
  3. Proven ability to build relationships with internal departments and external agencies.
  4. Ability to work under pressure.
  5. Good written and oral communication skills.
  6. Good judgement and decision-making skills.
  7. Pro-active and able to show initiative.
  8. Fully flexible working 5 days out of 7 (weekend working essential to the role).

Job type - Permanent

Salary - £8.50 / hour (Paid 4 weekly),

28 day's holiday (inclusive of PH's).

Staff discount scheme (up to 25% discount).
