Job Title: Advanced Security Engineer

Location: Stockport

Salary: £23,398

Based in Stockport, our Clients teams provide dedicated, specialist services to the public and private sector businesses in the Greater Manchester areas. Their culture is to engage and listen to the customer's needs, responding with effective, professional and innovative solutions.

The Role:

  • To undertake Surveys of any building, and assisting the Manager to produce a system design brief to SSAIB standards for Intruder/Access/CCTV alarm systems.
  • To assist the Security Services Manager in the initial design of Intruder/Access/CCTV projects.
  • Liaise with Contract Management in order to specify requirements.
  • To be involved in the annual inspection with the SSAIB representative ensuring compliance.
  • Complete all service reports and maintain service records for each individual system.
  • Provide written reports and technical support to the Security Operations Manager on the condition of each system.
  • To provide technical advice to Contractors/Clients/Architects/Other Colleagues.
  • Ensure quality standards are met in the commissioning of work carried out by other operatives of the same trade. (sub-contractors)
  • Provide emergency cover working to a "call out" rota.
  • Ensure appointments are maintained to provide good standard of customer service.
  • Undertake Risk Assessments on all work.

The Candidate:

  • Experience and knowledge of Intruder, Fire, Door Access Security Systems
  • Experience of working on large and small projects with multiple teams on various sites.
  • Experience of working on contracts for local authority or similar operation.
  • Experience of providing engineering solutions to security engineering projects
  • Full driving licence, Qualification in Alarm Installation and Maintenance
  • HND, HNC or similar, IOSH managing safely, NEBOSH or similar
  • Work in a confident and professional manner
  • Be well organised with good time management skills. Works to personally set deadlines with minimal supervision.

Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of; Security Engineer, Security Consultant, Security Manager, Engineer, Security Installation, Engineer may also be considered for this role.
