Job Description:

Receptionist job. 12 months FTC. To provide professional and efficient reception to telephone contacts.

Your new company
For 40 years they have been providing outstanding apartments in prime locations to suit all lifestyles and stages in retirement.

Your new role
* To answer incoming telephone calls with speed and courtesy using the agreed "welcome" and always with a high degree of attentiveness and efficiency.
* To check the Reception area daily to ensure it is kept clean and tidy and is in keeping with the Company's image.
* To receive all visitors to the office cordially and action their requests or queries in a pleasant efficient manner.
* To issue identification badges and complete "signing in" procedures to comply with safety and security procedures.
* To keep and maintain the accident book, acting as first point of contact for staff reporting an incident or accident.
* To act as a Fire Warden and First Aider.
* To place post in the pigeon holes of the relevant departments.
* To receive, frank and send outgoing post, and to monitor and arrange credit for the franking machine.
* To use the intranet to maintain the internal telephone directory, entering changes and creating up-to-date lists for issue to users at regular intervals.
* To switch on the answer phone at the close of the switchboard each day and accurately transcribe and distribute messages received without delay at the start of each working day.
* To receive deliveries, notify recipients or arrange to have heavy goods delivered to relevant department.
* To cover the key responsibilities of the Office Manager role in his/her absence.
* To always fully comply with policies and procedures.
* Any other duties commensurate with the level of the role.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need experience of working in a reception and be able to use office equipment. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office. Switchboard and post room experience would be an advantage. You also must have the ability to organise, prioritise, have a good attention to detail and be a clear communicator.
