Job Description:

Receptionist/Administrator - a large international business with offices on the outskirts of Barnsley have a new opportunity for a Receptionist/Administrator to work in a standalone, new position covering the following duties:

  • Meet and Greet clients
  • Answering and forwarding phone calls
  • Screening phone calls
  • Opening, franking and distributing the post
  • Hospitality - Booking hotels, flights, taxi's and car hire
  • Book lunch/buffets
  • Enter all hospitality details onto SharePoint
  • Cross match invoices to SharePoint
  • Arrange refreshments
  • Keep the Engagement Suite tidy at all times
  • Ensure Engagement Suite is stocked of tea, coffee, water etc.
  • Keep reception area tidy at all times
  • To provide general administration to the senior managers as required, including typing, filing and faxing.
  • Ensure all visitors sign in and out, checking the system before leaving for the day
  • Make sure any reception cover has been informed fully of any visitors on site or arriving
  • Any other ad hoc duties that may be necessary to ensure the efficient running of the department.

Ideally, the candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • Experience of working in similar roles would be an advantage

IT Literate - in particular Word, Excel and knowledge of other computer packages

  • Incredibly organised
  • Work on own initiative and be part of a team
  • Ability to communicate at all levels and be approachable
  • Must be flexible in hours worked and duties performed.
  • Have a can do attitude
  • Numerate and literate
  • Good organizer and problem solver
  • Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring signing in system; issuing visitor badges
  • Receptionists need to have an ear to the ground and be aware of everything that's going in an organisation, from knowing which important meetings will be taking place to coordinating deliveries and organising travel arrangements for staff. You'll also often be the first person that employees and potential clients see, so you're always representing the company!

  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm
