Receptionist

Whitley Court, Hayes Road, Paignton

£8.03 per hour

37.5 hours per week - to include occasional evenings and weekend working

We are seeking a Receptionist to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. Located in the centre of the English Riviera, Whitley Court offers a selection of independent living apartments for rent with a range of on-site services and facilities and is designed to offer comfort and peace of mind. Residents receive support with their everyday needs and they are encouraged to build their confidence, develop their skills and increase their independence.

The role of Receptionist will include:

  • Welcoming and directing clients, guests, contractors and staff members
  • Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer and resident queries
  • Liaising closely with other members of staff
  • Supporting the maintenance of effective filing systems, database records and processes including coordinating bedroom allocations
  • Ensuring the Health and Safety of the residents and security of building

Skills and Experiences:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is desirable
  • The ability to work independently, using your own initiative. A high level of attention to detail is essential
  • Experience using computerised booking systems and phone systems would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills
  • The ability to stay calm and constructive in emergencies
