Receptionist

Rushden

Salary: £16,000 to £18,000

Maternity Cover

My client is currently looking to recruit a Receptionist to cover a maternity leave for 12 month.

Job Specification

  • Able to smoothly run the front of house Reception
  • Operate the main switchboard - transferring calls as required
  • Meet and greet visitors to the site
  • Post -Distribute post accordingly and frank letters/packages, maintain machine and scales
  • Co-ordinate TNT courier services, UK, International & Same Day services
  • Co-ordinate special/recorded postal service
  • Track and trace all courier and specials
  • Report binding - maintenance of machine and stock control
  • Co-ordinate any hire car bookings and booking of any hotel/transport as required
  • British Library Reference requests
  • Goods in - telephone cover for lunch times and holidays
  • TNA monthly spread sheets - collation of data
  • Any ad hoc purchasing cover as required
  • Ensure meeting rooms are booked for conferences
  • Order lunch for clients and supply refreshments
  • Assisting in some HR related administration - referencing, security checks.

Essential requirements

  • Strong organisation skills
  • Strong telephone skills
  • Confident due to client and customer facing
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to work on own initiative
  • Highly motivated and ability to multi task
  • Diplomatic and Confidential
  • Presentable at all times as client/customer facing every day
  • Willing to be flexible on duties
  • Can work under pressure

The position is full time on a fixed term contract. Hours of work are 37.5 per week Monday - Friday. Annual holiday entitlement is 23 days a year plus Bank Holidays. The company operates a fantastic contributory pension scheme, life assurance and benefits package.
