JOB TITLE: Receptionist

JOB TYPE: 6 - 8 weeks (February full time & March 2/3 days per week)

SALARY: £10ph

COMPANY TYPE: Law Firm

START DATE: 1st February

HOURS: 10am - 7pm

LOCATION: Holborn, Central London

CULTURE: Professional but friendly, supportive and social team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reception duties include:

  • To meet and greet all visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answering all incoming calls and transferring all calls in a professional and friendly manner
  • Ensuring the reception area and meeting rooms are presentable and immaculate at all times
  • Setting up and clearing down of meeting rooms which includes catering and pantry duties
  • Taking meeting room bookings and ordering catering
  • Issuing temporary security passes
  • Logging outgoing DHL Couriers and monitoring their delivery to their destination throughout the day
  • Organising taxis on request
  • Receptionists also have an important role to play in assisting with the fire evacuation procedures
  • In addition, the receptionist on duty may be requested to help out with various admin duties
  • Managing courier service

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:

  • Smart appearance in keeping with professional environments
  • Impeccable telephone manner and good all round communicational skills
  • Strong team player
  • Approachable and friendly manner
  • Positive can do attitude
  • Ability to work accurately to deadlines in a faced passed environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Proactive and flexible approach
  • Well organised

Key Skills:

  • Previous experience as a receptionist
  • Familiarity with the operation of office equipment i.e. multi-function devices (photocopiers & scanners)
  • Basic level IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook & Internet)
